DIRTBAG CAPTAINS

 

The Dirtbag coaching staff select from each graduating class a "Captain" to help pilot our program each summer and fall.

The player selected each year to wear the "C" exudes confidence and has earned trust and respect from his peers. He presents a positive and real image of the program. He displays loyalty and above all, he wears the Dirtbag's uniform with pride.

 

Moss Wears "C" For 2011 Class

The Dirtbags are very proud to announce 2011 graduate Dirtbag Benton Moss has been named "Captain" of the Dirtbags 2011 class. Moss becomes the first pitcher to ever receive this honor.

Benton Moss’ loyalty and commitment to the Dirtbag program has not gone unnoticed. It makes our entire program very proud to have him wear the “C” on his chest and help lead our club in 2010 and beyond.

 

Moss has become a front-line arm for us. He’s made himself into an extremely dominant pitcher, and it’s not by accident. This kid busts his rear-end on and off the field.

 

As a pitcher, he’s an athletic 5th infielder with a complete arsenal. He’s feisty too! He’s got a little mean-streak in him. He builds around an explosive 89-92 mph fastball and a breakingball that shackles hitters.

 

 

He is a high-energy dude on the field and he has become one of our most vocal leaders and he carries himself like a professional. Our guys really respect him and all the great things he brings to the Dirtbag program.
