Levi Michael - SS
*Captain

College: North Carolina
Class: 2009
HS: North Davidson

Partin on Michael: "He's our Captain. On the field it's tough to find a better shortstop and teammate at this level. He can really pick it out there. He makes the routine play and he can make the acrobatic circus play (which he made in Jupiter this fall) and he can throw you out from the hole. He's disciplined at the plate. He can reach the seats from both sides of the dish. He punishes pitcher's mistakes and he creates a lot of havoc on the bases. There is no safety-first with him on the baseball field! Levi Michael is our leader and we look for the Captain to help pilot us again this season.

- Advice to Other Players Wanting to be a DIRTBAGWork hard in the classroom and on the field... and always hustle! If you don't hustle, you won't play for the Dirtbags very long.

- What is a DIRTBAG to You?A Dirtbag gives his all every play and represents the team with dignity. A Dirtbag puts the team before himself. There is nothing else like it. You are playing with the best guys, playing with a plan and a purpose.

- What is Your Outlook on the Team's 2008 Season?I'm excited to get out again this summer and fall and play. We're going to have a very strong team on both sides of the ball. Coach Partin knows how to recruit the right players for our program, and he's added some great guys for the 2008 season. I really think we will be a threat in the summer (East Cobb) and fall (Jupiter) World Wood Bat tournaments.
