Andy Partin
Head Coach

Head Coach Andy Partin (30) has seen 100% of his players go on to play college or professional baseball.

Since 2002, Partin has seen 53 former players go on to be drafted or sign professional baseball contracts, while well over 200 of his former players have gone on to sign college baseball scholarships. Partin has also help produce three Aflac All-Americans since 2007.

Partin guided the Dirtbags to another 3rd place finish at the 2006 World Wood Bat Championship in Jupiter, FL and a 2nd Place finish in the 2006 17U WWBA National Championship and winners of the 2006 IMPACT World Series on their way to a 54-4 season. Partin also guided the Dirtbags to a 3rd Place finish in the 2005 World Wood Bat Championship in Jupiter, FL and a 5th Place finish in 2004.

Through recruiting the top players, instruction, leadership, a challenging schedule, competing on the finest facilities in the region and playing the "DIRTBAG WAY" has been the key to the success equation for The Dirtbags.

"I am extremely proud to call myself a Dirtbag," said Partin. "Being a Dirtbag means you play fearless and you give your team 100% on every pitch."

"We pride ourselves on doing everything first class, with principles. We are not just a team, we're a family."

Partin and the Dirtbags trust in baseball great Al Rosen's words: "Practicing on one’s strengths is more enjoyable and obviously much easier, but working long and hard on one’s weaknesses, while it may be a more difficult path to follow, has the certain assurances of success."

The Dirtbag Family will continue to emerge as one of the top amateur baseball programs in the country.

Partin is an active associate scout with the St. Louis Cardinals working under area scouting supervisor Mike Juhl. Partin aided in the draft of former Dirtbag Tyler Leach who went onto to sign a professional contract with the Cardinals in 2005.

Partin married the former Tracy Lowry in September of 2003. Tracy serves as a Physical Therapist. The couple reside in the Triad, NC area and gave birth to their daughter Molly Jo in February 2006. Partin and his wife have a dog (Cassie).
