Dirtbags Finish 3rd & 9th at WWBC

Underclassman World Wood Bat Championship
October 6-9, 2006
Fort Myers, FL - Red Sox 5-Plex

The Dirtbags 17's finished up 3rd and Dirtbags 16's finished up 9th out of over 50 teams at the World Wood Bat Championship in Fort Myers. Florida.

"Our staff is very proud of both team's accomplishments in this great event. To have not one, but two teams from the same organization finish this high is quite a statement as to how far our program has come in such a short time," said Andy Partin.

"We are pleased with our results, but we are not satisfied with 3rd and 9th. Our goal each season is to win the World Wood Bat Championship each summer and fall."

This is the second Third Place finish for the Dirtbags in the Underclassman World Wood Bat Championship in back to back years.
