Dear Camper,

We regret to inform you today, Wednesday December 7 that it was brought to our attention that the camp staff we had worked so hard to assemble was going to be drastically altered. No Division I schools are going to be permitted to be employed at the Atlantic Coast Select Camp. This comes as great shock to us. We will have at least 30 professional scouts and college coaches present, however.

These are some of the ways we will make your experience worth while:
a) We will post all of the camp results (60 times, pop times, radar velocity, notes, numbers, etc.)
b) We will provide hundreds of college coaches with notes and information from the camp
c) We will still have at least 30 professional scouts and college coaches present

The baseball world is very tight and information among it's fraternity travels very quickly. We will make every effort to spread the word of what takes place this weekend.

If you remain disgruntled, we understand completely. Any complaints you presently have - we agree. Our staff followed all bylaws and the NCAA made us feel that this camp was legit until one man (a compliance director from one of the conferences with schools attending) decided to stir things up and try to link the Dirtbags with a recruiting service. This "link" would make this camp impermissible for Division I coaches to work. This accusation however is untrue, but his "project" has put enough scare into DI compliance directors to steer them away from allowing their coaches to work this camp.

If you would like to pull out of this camp, we understand and will grant you a full refund. The refunds will be mailed out before the end of the year. You must e-mail DirtbagsCoach@aol.com by 12:00 PM (Noon) on Friday, December 9 2005 to obtain your refund.

If you plan to still attend, there is no need for you to e-mail. We will see you Saturday at 8:00 AM at Duke's baseball field for check-in.

After repeated efforts on our end were made to correct this issue, this is where we are presently at. We can not express how outraged and disappointed we are over this issue.

Our deepest apologies for any inconvenience that this has caused you.

Sincerely,

Dirtbag Baseball
